課程概述	簡介世界人群的文化與社會由舊石器時期晚期發展進入中石器時期、新石器各時期等階段的內涵，以及其中展現的人群文化發展的各種現象、背後的脈絡、動力與因素。透過考古學的研究方法，探究人類在文字發明前的文化發展等議題，這些議題旨在刺激我們思考〝當代〞是如何形成，各種我們視為〝理所當然〞的生活慣習是如何被內化，人類又如何賦與各種行為不同的價值。
課程目標	簡介世界史前史, 及討論考古與史前學者如何探討人類文化發展過程的一些問題.刺激學生思考〝當代〞是如何形成，各種我們視為〝理所當然〞的生活慣習是如何被內化，人類又如何賦與各種行為不同的價值。
課程要求	指定參考書目&文章閱讀、期中考（40%）、期中口頭報告＋不定期小考（20%）、期末報告（30%）、課中參與與討論（10%）。課堂上課狀況的處理不在此百分比分配中，缺課依臺大大學學生手則規定計算處理。
